Crobsy Prix-des Nations
This is in answer to Maryanne: I haven't seen anyone else using one of
these saddles either, but when I first started distance riding I rode in
one, for about the first 5 years. It caused no problems with the horse's
back at all and was light weight for sure, but when I started to do
longer than 50 miles, my knees and back were killing me (stirrups too far
forward.) I then switched to a dressage saddle and did 3 OD 100's plus a
bunch more miles and am still using that same dressage saddle, though it
has had to be re-fitted to the horse, and now have over 3000 miles. You
will know when the saddle isn't right.
