sounds like the saddle bridges her back, i.e. touches in front & back but not middle. i once had 2 pairs of shoes that didn't fit. i was to cheap to buy another pair, so i rotated them. they didn't hurt as much, but that doesn't mean either fit any better. if i'd had to run 25 miles in them either one would have destroyed my feet. you could look at the sports saddle. this might meet the horse's needs without needing a custom saddle good luck
