Technical question

Can anyone help me with a question about how to retrieve a deleted e-mail 
message?  I accidentally deleted the e-mail from a woman named Carol who was 
interested in buying my Sports Saddle.  I can find the spot that lets me 
retrieve e-mails I deleted in the last 24 hours, but nothing before that and 
apparently my brain lapse was more than 24 hours ago.  Is it gone forever?  
Are you out there Carol?  Please e-mail me again if you are or if you know 
how to get deleted stuff back.  Thanks for any help.  I feel really stupid :-(
