interfering behind
Tina
I had a gelding who knocked himself behind as a
four and five year old, less and less as he got older and fitter. He would
usually just brush himself, or knock hoofs, but very occasionally would break
the skin on the inside of one fetlock.
He really did grow out of it. I used brushing
boots at his first couple of 50 mile rides. He didn't have any particular
conformation faults that you could blame but he was unusually tall and big boned
for an Arab and I think that was the cause - too young and goofy to organise
those big legs.
