equine appraisal questions

Has anyone out there ever had to have their horse(s)
appraised? Can you tell me what the cost was, what the
appraisal interview was like, what you had to have it done
for, and any other pertinent info.? You can post to me
privately so as not to clutter the list, unless your case
is endurance related of course!
