Re: beet pulp bath
Hi, Michelle.
Akela used to do that with a bucket. I started feeding out of one of those
flat rubber tubs/pans. Now, no problems. My other thoughts on beet pulp:
is he used to it? It took mine a while to warm up to it. I mix it with
other feed they like--gradually changing the amounts so that now I feed
mostly beet pulp (in the mash--I also feed hay). I also give it to them
first, before I give the hay, so they are hungry.
As to the tire idea: I have a big plastic tub in a tire that I water my
horses in and it works fine, but is a little big unless you are feeding a
lot of beet pulp. I got the tubs at one of those big garden supply stores
or Home Depot, I forget which.
Good luck.

Has anyone used the buckets that fit in an old tire? Do you know where to
get them? Do they work? Any other ideas?
