Horses who pull back
For those horses who already have mastered the art of breaking halters by
pulling back, I like the idea of a heavy rope tied around the chest, up
through the halter and tied to something secure. Years ago I bought a
large (16.2), 6 year old, Missouri Foxtrotter who knew he could pull back
until the halter broke. He broke two halters before I tied him around his
chest and tied to my two- horse trailer. The very first time, I honest to
God thought he was going to turn the trailer over! He tried his darndest.
The rope trick worked and a year later he won his National Championship in
CTR.
