guns

Interesting thing happened two days ago, that got me pondering the
discussions prior concerning guns.  My precious cat got shot in the thigh. 
Now he will be okay, except for a gapping wound I clean religiously (he
cringes when he sees me coming now), but he will never be the same.  I
started asking around, and come to find out there are people in my
neighborhood that shoot cats for entertaninment.  I just bought this house
last year, and had no idea that in a fairly upscale neighborhood people
would be running around harming animals for entertainment. We have the
beach just minutes away, but I guess the entertainment value around  here
is lacking.  

this had little to do with horses, but I am angry.  When I start to ride,
am I a greater, more challenging target?  The police are so nonchalant- it
is just a cat after all.  My child does not play in the woods next door
now.  Sad world if a I say so...
