Million Pines in the Spring had a very high pull rate, similar terrain,
same head vet. You've still got horses with heavy coats on a warm day.
I think one thing that may have made a difference was that we had a 40
min. hold at both the first AND second check. They did it (I think) to
allow for long lines maybe, but I think that extra time may have helped.
Maybe the horses come into a Fall ride in better shape, but I expected
more trouble due to the winter coats. Just a thought.
