Several years ago I loaded up and headed for a ride in
Pennsylvania...about 25 miles down the road I realized that I had set my
*race-day clothes* bag next to the trailer while loading the truck with
other stuff and had driven off without it. After a few moments of sheer
panic, I guessed that Debi Gordon would be heading to the same ride. She
lived down the road a few miles and I knew that she usually comes later
in the day (due to family and horses to take care of). I pulled off the
highway and called her from a pay phone (no cell phones in those
days)...got her straight away, and she agreed to stop by my barn and
bring the bag. She saved my hide. 

Bobbie and mom-to-be Fine Print (why didn't you just wear shorts and
sneakers like I hear they do in Calif.?)
