As to forgotten items:    I've always been sure the pioneer wagon trains did
not pack as much "stuff" for a life time move as  some of us take for
weekend ride.   My trailer has more extras (just in case) than I care to
think about.  Not sure what is in the back corners. :>)))

As to height of horses:   Most of the old timers (what ever sport or work)
have always said it's easier to find a good little horse than a good big
one.   (But when you do it can be a world beater)    As Heidi and others
have said it's a matter of conformation and substance.
