Maggie certainly does catch our mistakes doesn't she Howard--I'm sure everyone else picked it up too: > From: "Maggie Mieske" <mmieske@netonecom.net> > To: <Lyoness@Castlenet.com>, "Ridecamp" <Ridecamp@endurance.net> > Subject: Re: NEW CONTROVERSY > > > Bulb pulp...that's a new form of pulp made from ground up light bulbs just > for mean old brahma bulls??? Haha couldn't resist. > > Maggie Mieske > Mieske's Silver Lining Boy, I must have been even more tired than I thought last night or maybe I was having one of Lif's "Senior Moments". Thanks for pointing out my typo, Maggie. I'm now trying to get the coffee I spilled while laughing so hard out of my keyboard! To clear the record, I did mean BEET PULP! The Cowboy Crew really does call it Joane's Witch's Brew because I have made pets out of everything on the ranch by feeding them BEET PULP. I started adding a little grain and then individual herbs as needed for each of the horses. Then I discovered that weak calves would take it by licking it off of my fingers. It has saved many a motherless calf, lamb and goat. I didn't intend to make friends with the Brahma Bull, but I was feeding a calf and didn't realize he had come up behind me to watch as I set against the fence (I know, I know--How do you miss a 2200 lbs. bull!). As I started to put a handful of Beet Pulp in the baby's mouth, this huge black tongue came from over my shoulder and took it. He has been my buddy ever since--with the fence between us of course.
