So (depending on how the balloting goes) if AERC gets into the business of 
sanctioning "intro" rides of 5 or 10 miles, are THOSE endurance rides, with 
mileage to count??  The line has to be drawn somewhere.  When I was in the 
9th grade, I thought I had the world by the tail, but when I got to vet 
school, I found out there were some things that 8th grade hadn't prepared me 
for.  But heck, 9th grade was halfway there.  Should I have gotten credit 
right then and there for half of a veterinary degree??
