scar tissue

My gelding has scar tissue where he tore his tendon eighteen months ago.  The 
vet could not see where the tear had been, it had healed so well.   How ever 
there is an adhesion of the tendon in the tendon sheath causing lameness.  
Any help on this would be appreciated.   I  wasn't given any clear cut method 
to cure this problem.  Having the benefit of all you knowledgable ridecampers 
is a real blessing . Thank you.
