This is my 'chatty' day, to much coffee!!
I do use a hot fence at the rides.  Since I usually bring 2 horses I like 
tie the ‘other’ horse to the trailer while I am gone.  My 11 mare ties just 
fine however she will trot in place the entire time I am out.  She will trot 
4 to 6 hours at a time!!  I have had many comments on this and have even 
thought maybe I could just tie her to my trailer at home during those cold 
spring conditioning months in SW WI while I set in front of the fire <g>.  
After all the post, next year I may go to portable corrals…if I can afford 
them.
