What a wonderful initiation for you, Kenzie!!  :)  It was a good story! 
Sounds like the kind of stuff that happens to me!  Only I was the one who
got stung, not the horse! :)  Please keep us up to date on your progress. 
And, yep, you're right.  Time to step it up a notch or two!  Remember not
to add speed and distance at the same time.... either step up the pace
doing the miles you now do or add an extra loop or two.  You can alternate,
too.  Zane sounds like he's going to make a great endurance horse! 
Drinking in the streams!!!  I am SOOOO jealous!
