Ride & Tie at Ft. Valley

Well it is amazing how incorrect information gets around.  I did the
ride and tie at Ft. Valley.  There were six teams total for the 25 and
50.  One team did the 50 and it was NOT Lani and Kathy-it was Jean
Lichtenberger and Tom Sites and I am pretty sure they finished.  Lani
and Kathy did the 25 on their 18 hand Percheron/TB cross as their 50
mile horse blew an abcess a few days before the event.  So there were
five teams that did the 25 and one of those were pulled at the midpoint
for metabolics.  Everyone else finished.  It is too bad that it is like
pulling teeth to find Ride & Tie partners here in the East as it is
really a FUN sport.  Really wish more people would give it a try!
