Singing
When Apache and I first got together, he was such a nervous wreck... I began
singing to him, both on the ground and in the saddle. He had a tin ear,
thankfully, and it calmed him, which amazed me. I would feel him relax.
We reached a time when he didn't need my dulcet tones to soothe his
scattered nerves, but I continued to sing anyway. He never said not to :)
I sang a song I made up for him. It was about him, extolling his beauty,
intelligence, and other virtues.
My new horse has not indicated he needs a song so far. Humming seems
sufficient.
