Well, I think my little "rescue" yearling should be a contender then (if the
fatty status has anything to say about it). He's a regular butterball -- no
I'm not over feeding him, he's just an easy keeper. I love seeing him all
rounded out after what he went through early in his life. Probably because
of the early starvation he went through, he pretty much ploughs through the
other geldings to get to his food, he doesn't care WHO the boss is, he's not
gonna miss a meal. He completely ignores the pinned ears and the "Hey, I'm
the boss here!" stuff and goes straight for the chow. The other guys just
seem to tolerate his behavior. (probably because there's plenty to go
around). This little guy is one of the most satisfying horse experiences of
my life. I feel like his MOM :))

(Heidi, thanks for your advice early on in his rescue)
