I guess I didn't word that correctly or the way I meant to (except I really
don't know who won BC....I knew he was from the UAE and that's it).  As for
the others you mentioned, I am a newbie and didn't even know until a year
ago that there WAS such a thing as WORLD endurance championship....probably
why Valerie was my example.  But, to those who aren't endurance riders, the
emphasis is on FIRST and especially since it was out of the country and an
AMERICAN WOMAN....a GRANDMA!  Gasp!  Of the stories I have read, the
mention has almost always been who was FIRST.  Maybe a token mention of BC.
 I did NOT mean to imply that I do not care who wins BC.  In fact, if you
remember, my posts generally emphasize how much I personally value a BC
over a first.  Yup, I think that is what I have been saying. 
Unfortunately, I deprogrammed my mail to stop keeping all of my "sent"
posts and since you only quoted a small part of that post, I am not sure
what the whole thing was originally about.  I assume it was part of the LD
debate.  So, forgive me if I have completely screwed up what the point is!
