Hi there I have a skito pad too. Are you warming up the pad for about five 
minutes?It has gotten a bit colder here and I have to lunge my horse for a 
few minutes before I start riding. Are you dure you have the correct kind of 
shims in the pad? I would call the company and ask them. The number is 
1-800-292-6442. I would call and as we say down here Git in their S**t. I do 
know that if you don't allow time for the pad to heat up that it can be a 
bit of a pain.
