John, you have no problem that the rest of us don't have. You are
going to need to teach your horse to jog in two ways, one very
relaxed, one very flashy. Takes some practise, at home and at
events. Nothing worse than a tail flagging A-Rab at the start of a
ride, impossible to duplicate and it will cause judges to take points
off. On longer rides, 50-100, everything sorts out and this is really
not such an issue. But on short rides when there are bunch of fit
horses that look great, it is one of the few things that judges can
use to sort out a winner. Not necessarily fair, but, be a judge
sometime!
