Re: RC: buying a horse/warning (buying Easy)
Please everyone, don't give up on people being honest and trustworthy. There
are still some out there. I decided a few months ago to buy a new horse and
looked at a few. My shoer happened to mention that his sorrel gelding who I
had seen on a couple of trailrides was for sale. I said well bring him over
and let me try him. He showed up with the horse at the agreed time. I ask
him when he wanted an answer from me and he said Oh lets see...umm first of
year ok?
I kept Easy here for about 30 days, liking him better every day. I had him
Vetted and called his owner and said would you please come shoe my new horse
for me. He came bringing Easy's papers and a transfer and I paid for him. I
realize it helps that we are in the same town and I have done business for a
number of years with this man but it really was the greatest way to buy a
horse.
I'm not trying to boast but to show all of you that there really still are
some totally honest people out there both buying and selling horses.
