Re: RC: heel bruise from easyboot
I had something similar this summer. We lost a shoe in the high country
far away from anything and I put on the Easyboot. The Easyboot does not
fit this horse because she has no heel and the strap has no room except
on the heel bulbs.(The easy boot was cut away) I knew she was going to
be sore but I really had no choice. As soon as we got back to camp that
evening I took the Easyboot off. She did swell up and there was heat on
the heel bulb. She was slightly lame but was healed up in about 5 days.
Put calendula gel or cream on it (as long as there is no open cut) and
that will help it.
