Swollen legs

I have a filly that is 1 1/2 years old.  I keep her on about 2 acres and she 
is not stalled up.. The last few days all four legs have been swollen.  I 
feed her horse feed (4 way) at about half a coffee can twice a day.  Is the 
protein in the grain causing the swelling, or are there some other ideas out 
there?
