You may be right, I never thought of it that way, just in terms of weight.
In my case eventers sometimes don't work well for a different reason, some
Arabs have very small feet, which can make it difficult to shape the shoe
correctly. This isn't going to be a problem on my newbie, he wears a 1. And
my wonderful farrier always bevels the edges. He also puts up with me
calling him on a weekend to tell him I just bought a horse with bad feet, and
when can he get here! : )
