Just an idea but you can also ride with a friend whose bike is equipped with
a speedometer. Great way to train your horse to deal with bikes, too. And
if your husbands on the bike, hey, conditioning for him, too. ;-) You can
figure out exactly how fast you are travelling on trails and rougher
terrain.
