Rae,
Greetings from cold Illinois. A year ago Michael Plumb's journal had a
writeup on Quest and how they recommended using it. It's most
significant effect is upon small stongyles. Small strongyles are the
most significant parasite threat in adult horses. Moxidectin is the only
dewormer that can control them 100 percent. Ivermectin is superior in
controling almost all of the many other parasites.
He recommended using Moxidectin primarily when encysted larve may have a
mass emergence (fall & spring in the south) and spring in other states.
Ivermectin should still be the primary enforcer of a horse's healthy
colon.
