After reading to my husband some of the previous posts regarding accidents
riders had had, but were fortunately wearing helmets, he is now VOLUNTARILY
putting on a helmet for plain ordinary rides around home.  Usually, I believe
it is wrong to try to change one's spouse to one's own way of doing things,
but I felt this was so important.  I thanked him the first time he did it, and
I've kept my mouth shut since.  I hope he continues to wear one.  This has
been three or four times now, the first two I handed him the helmet.  Sunday,
he got it on his own.  I'm so excited!
