Down here this is exactly correct. There are very many off the track horses that go on to make good endurance horses. I would doubt that there are very few people that would spend $5000 for an endurance prospect when there are many other good options for $750. to $1500. It is just a fact of life down here where there are many racing bred Arabs. I do not believe that the "endurance breeders" can compete with this source when supply meets demand. The endurance breeders will lose out every time on price unless they lose money. The exception may be those breeders that breed for a specific need in the market - like breeding larger "sport horses" - for either the larger endurance riders or for multiple use like hunting and endurance. Most of these breeders use both Arabian and other stock and produce part Arabs. Some do well.
