Poor hoof wall
A suggestion for people that are having problems with there horse not growing
good hoof wall.Something you may want to try is a a light leather pad this
works especially well in areas that have alot of moisture. What happens is
your horse sluffs out or sheds its sole due to the wet conditions. While the
sole protects the bottom of the foot it also aids in holding the horn layer
together. So by having the pad on you help your horse to retain sole which
helps hold the foot together and thus improves the the wall.Wish I could take
credit for this but its a trick saddle bred people have been using for ages
to get the long toes and keeping good wall.Hope someone can benefit from this
information.RD
