Excellent post, Joane.  I'm a member of ARIA and have listened to Julie
Fershtman speak on equine law and liability a couple of times.  It's a real
eye opener for the uninitiated...and why I have pretty hefty coverage for
farm.  We board horses and I teach on schooling or personal horses.  My
release form is pretty long, I require helmets, AND pay pretty hefty
insurance premiums.  It's been a while since I looked at Washington's
statutes...and after reading your posts, I've decided I need to review them
with a bit more of a critical eye.  Thanks for all of the great info.  I
know it's time consuming to research and then write to such an extent...but
KNOW that it is *well* appreciated!
