Cevi's update 9/23/99

Well, today is a great day.  Cevi got her last IV removed, she got all the stitches out of her back. She found out that she has two sish-ka-bobs in her head (ha ha ha) and she stood up waved at the camera today.  Yes....she stood!!!  They got her up at the parallel bars and the therapist had a heart attack when Cevi took one of her hands off the bar to wave at the camera.  The therapist had problems getting her back into her chair afterwards since Cevi refused to sit down.  She was thrilled to be standing and stretching her legs.  THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Her spirits since have been very much improved since there's no doubt (in her mind) that she'll walk again.  Her brain injury has improved quite a bit in the last week and they'll continue evaluating it, but she's improving so fast.  Cevi's strength in her left leg went up a whole point today and it seems she gets another muscle and masters a different muscle every day.
Could you all please say an extra prayer for Matt to get complete feeling and mobility in his lower extremities?  Cevi feels so bad that she's improving so much and he isn't, we KNOW the Lord works, and prayers work so let's really concentrate on Matt tonight OK?
