I had an old man ask me one time right after I got out of shoeing school if I
had ever quicked one.I proudly thrust my chest out and said not since I got
out of school.Then felt pretty stupid when he replied huh must not be shoeing
much then.If you you shoe horses on occasion its going to
happen.Unfortunately we don't always have the best feet or patients to work
on and it happens.I agree with what was said before about how it is handled
is how you find out if your dealing with professional or not.Thats not to
say they will always know when you have quicked a horse because some cases of
a pressure quick will take several days to show up.RD
