Yes indeed. I personally know of some big name *show people* out here in
California who put up a couple hundred thousand for the legal defense of the
kid who turned Boggs in. This kid's personal safety was threatened by
Bogg's gooners and he was later sued by Bogg's attorneys. Many of the *big
name show people* helped in the battle against gingering . . . . . . . and
it looks like they have won. Maybe it's the beginning of a trend toward
more humane treatment.
Re: the recent thread about TWH's
I have heard that the "Big Lick" TWH's are being shunned by more and more
people who show and breed TWH. There is also a huge push to train and get
more inspectors to the shows and they are constantly developing new ways to
detect soring and pressure shoeing. The big (show) trend now is for the
"natural flat shod" Walkers. There are now TWH shows all over the country
that ONLY have flat shod classes and the Big Licks aren't allowed on
grounds. The flat shod naturally gaited walkers are selling like hot cakes
. . . . . . . . . and now the trainers and breeders are scurrying to get on
track with this new popularity of natural Tennessee Walkers. What a
concept. Yaa Hoo!!!!!!!
