lack of pre-entries

I just finished a challenging but fun 30 mile ctr(Roundtop Rally) which is to be no more due to lack of entries. Also talked to ride manager of Patapsco 30 which is a month away and she has 10 entries and talking about calling it quits. I've done called it quits with ctrs here so all you ctr riders need to be aware next year when there is no selection of rides and blamed only yourselves... thanks
