Natchez Trace ride

Hi Everyone...Ramsey and I just got back from the Natchez Trace ride in 
Tennessee.  The ride was great, they even had shower facilities (loved that). 
 I got a lot of good advise from all of you after the GERA ride and we did 
much better this ride.  I entered Ramsey in the 25 miler, used a hackamore, 
changed electrolyte brands, and placed 8th out of 32 riders.  He was in great 
condition after the ride and thats what I was hoping for.  We are going to 
work our way up to the 50 milers!  The trails were tough, lots of uphill and 
downhill work, gravel in a few areas, and lots of roots sticking up on the 
trails (the kind that make it easy for a horse to trip over) but very 
beautiful and I think well managed.  Our next ride is Witch Dance in MS, wish 
us luck!
