I had both my horses done about 5 years ago by a local vet. She used the
AVID system as well and I had NO problems. Yes, I'd do it again. I got some
signs from the manufacturer (free) that you could put up around the place and
some adhesive bumper sticker type signs but they faded in our intense UV
climate. I would like to get something made that is more permanent for the
barn area. Without the signs the deterrent value of chipping is not good but
I like the fact that slaughter houses are checking for chipped horses.
