Re: Which Myler bits?

Hi Bobbie!
For arab #1 I am using MB 27 because he runs through the bit, and drops his (left) shoulder.  This one looks a lot like a kimberwicke except that the sides of the bit work independently which is great for this horse.  He never did well in a snaffle.  I had tried a bristol then a low port with no leverage.  I noticed the changes immediately!  I can lift his shoulders to keep him straight and he stops better than before.
For arab # 2 I am using #32 as a step up in mildness from a snaffle but when I need some "stop" on the trail, he listens more to this bit than he did to the snaffle.  This bit also has a bit of leverage.
I highly recommend the book and apparently the Mylers also do clinics.
Happy trails, Laney

To all of the folks who are using Myler bits: Which particular style are
you using? i.e., mouthpiece type, leverage bit or snaffle, etc. What
type of bit did you use before? What problems, if any, were you trying
to resolve? and specifically what changes have you observed in your horses?
Thanks!
