Re: Wiking grandson/Peirrot son

I had a "SWEEPSTAKES" nominated gelding, the perverbial "bred to death" to
be able to do the crazy sport.....My daughter rode him well in 6 LD's, then
while giving my youngster time off last year, I thought I would try him out
on a couple of 50's.....This horse just flat a** quit on me! Twice. He
wouldn't go on with other horses. Wouldn't go forward even with me off and
leading him.....No, all parameters were normal when we finally got in to
camp...checked out by the vets just fine. back to trailer to eat. No we
were not going too fast, were at the back of the pack both times. When
John Parke and Remington pass you on an uphill, you know something is
wrong.....(sorry John) This horse was not overridden, came back to camp
and acted the complete idiot...not tired at all.....When we left San Diego
last Feb, I gave this horse to a trainer...free......and I won on this
bargain!!!
