RE: Cannon Bone stress fracture

Hi all!  A friend's horse has just been diagnosed with a cannon bone
fracture running down from the back of the knee, vertically at a slant,
(don't know length)......vet suggested 6 weeks stall rest, screws highly
recommended.......

Has anyone had this experience?  Recovery time? Able to compete again in
endurance???
