Thanks for your inquiry.
I am one ridecamper, from central South Carolina. We were totally
devastated by Hugo ten years ago. Floyd looked bigger, and much more
dangerous. He treated us very gently by comparison. I cannot speak for
the folk closer to the beach, but for my area, we sustained no damage
and the horses are fine. My big precaution was to put the horses in the
pasture on the eaast side of the place, which was the side least likely
to be hit with flying debri. My barn is flimsy, a homemade run in she,
so I kept them away from that. I am thankful that Floyd made a more
easterly jog on his path. I haven't heard from my more northerly
friends, either. I hope that everyone's horses are fine anad that no one
sustained much damage.
