Horse Abuse

Lucky Vic!! I bet he's waaaaay happier (even if his poor little tail wasn't
being gingered). This type of thing is sickening. I boarded my Paint horse
years ago at a Saddlebred barn in MN and the stuff they did to those poor
horses is still stuck in my mind. I wish to God I'd turned them in. I did
complain to the barn owner (who didn't have a clue what was going on) and
some of the really awful stuff stopped. Can a "protest" be filed directly
with IAHA? (rather than going through an individual show manager) I have had
numerous dealings with IAHA staff people and they are all very, very
accessible (helpful), I would feel comfortable calling directly for advice if
I suspected somebody was abusing their horse. Aren't you glad you're out of
the show world????
