Egyptian Arabians in the Wall Street Journal
>>>>So does the WSJ article mean we're headed towards another 80's
monetary =
obsession with Arabians? Oh no! I don't have access to a WSJ and I'm =
curious as to what the point of the article was.>>>
The "news hook," far as I could tell, was that the Egyptian Ministry of
Agriculture has banned all but domestically bred Arabs from
participating in its national festivals. From then on it's mostly quotes
pro and con on the breeding country-of-origin debate. No one is
questioning the purity of the blood of the repatriated Arabs.
There is a reference to the "superior marketing skills" of the US
Arabian market: "The ad copy in the glossy Arabian Horse Times...could
just as easily sell luxury automobiles." Perhaps David Boggs will have
to start halter-training Lexuses.
