I bred an old mare (age 23) to a stallion in his prime. The mare produced the
finest filly of her entire breeding life, also her last. The filly turned out
to be an excellent distance horse, carrier of small children, lesson horse,
parade horse, playday horse. Sometimes you never know what you will get when
breeding horses. ~S~
