Ok, I'll fess up too then.  Splash has officially learned to untie the
standard safety knot with the "lock" hitch.  I went to get some bug spray
and came back out... he had untied himself.  FORTUNATELY, he hadn't yet
figured out that he'd been successfull and was still standing at the
hitching rail, mercifully ignorant. I thought maybe I'd been careless and
forgotten to put in the lock hitch.... nope.  He re-demonstrated just a few
minutes later right in front of my eyes.  Little bugger.  He now gets a
double lock hitch.
I'll tell ya though, the old guy who runs the stable would have HAD MY HIDE
(deservedly so) if Splash had wandered off. Boy was I embarrassed.
