Scrambling in Trailer

I had a mare once that scrambled terribly (even slipped so far down that
a friend driving behind me lost sight of her!). I put a layer of
shavings in the trailer and she stopped immediately. She was slipping on
the manure. Make sure the shavings don't fly around, however, or your
horse could get them in his eyes, etc.
