Well, actually, I kind of liked it.  They were silly about the horse poop -- 
we have a lot of non-horsey friends who seem to find the stuff objectionable, 
which just cracks me up.  I wish they'd given Valerie more time to talk and 
less time to Boyd Matson who is definitely no horseman and certainly no 
expert on endurance (nothing wrong with that its just there was Valerie and 
I'd rather have heard her speak about our sport).  PLUS, I saw Boyd ride the 
year he ATTEMPTED Tevis (he made it sound like he finished).  And he was so 
pooped at Squaw Valley (9 miles) that I figured he pulled right then and 
there.  I was surprised to hear that he made it to Robinson Flat!  What 
impressed me about the program was the behavior of Valerie's two horses.  Of 
course, Jedi was the perfect gentleman, but the 6 year old -- Chance(?) was 
incredible (although he did "that spinny thing" with Katie Couric on board). 
Pretty impressive for two Ayrabs (are you listening, Truman?).
