Quarter Horses
A friend of mine competed a QH gelding for a number of years in CTR and
endurance, and he did quite well. Then her daughter took him over and
was jumping him. Another friend of mine has a big, blocky Paint who is
now just for pleasure riding but earned his 2000 career miles in CTR,
including some Championships. He took a lot more conditioning, and more
management, but he did it and his owner had a blast. We rode together
for several years; Twister and Akela got along well.
Mickie in Ohio, and Akela (who this coming weekend will get to the
2000-mile mark)
