The blocks weigh 50 lbs, and I find that my horses use them just fine. I
find that the horses that we have campaigned will go through 2/3 to 3/4 of a
block in an average season--and since the blocks are protected, I know it's
the horses using them instead of the weather. That's between 30 and 40 lbs
in a season--so the use isn't that far off what you are seeing with the loose
salt. I am hesitant to put it in with the feed--I want them to replace as
needed, not eat it and have to dump it.
